Training has been all over the place. I have been doing some running, biking, swimming and weight/core training. I participated in my first Stroke and Stride up in Boulder a few weeks ago. The swim didn't go well, I swam a 750m open water loop in 15 minutes. The run started out pretty hard but I cut down my miles a bit and ran 16:55. I was first across the line but all the good guys were doing the long swim. It was a fun experience. Earlier this week Matt and I ran 20x200m on the track with 50 seconds rest and cut it down nicely for 34 to 29's by the end. Felt good for not stepping on the track since my last race in early June. I signed up for the Pearl Street mile in Boulder next week. I'm not expecting much, I think I've been running like 20 to 30 miles a week tops. Just enjoying the outdoors this summer and taking a break from real hard training. Swimming is hard and frustrating. I guess being a pool rat in mid summer isn't exactly my idea of a great time, but it does help swimming with a group.

Till next time...
