Cherry Creek Track
3x1000m (200m walk) 5min rest- 5x300m (100m walk) 4 min rest 8x100m (15sec rest)
Matt and I both felt a very lethargic and uninspired on the warm-up. I was a bit surprised because we both felt great the day before doing a few easy runs. I also felt ok on my first run of the day. I'm also on what now seems to be the back end of a head cold. I wanted to run about 2:50's for the K's and accomplished just that. I took the first one in 2:48, Matt led the 2nd in 2:50 and I hit the third at 2:50. It took a lot of focus but I didn't feel that bad. I wanted to attack the first 300m to make sure I would hit 15oom pace after a long rest. I hit 45.1 and Matt was right on me so he took the next one and hit 44. 5, than 45.1, 44.4 and 42.4 for the last one. 100's were mostly all 15 seconds to shake out the lactic. I was wiped at the end and stumbled for 10 minutes on the cooldown.
