Thursday, April 3rd
I ran two 31 minute easy runs, on my second one I got my roommate off the couch and biked along side of me.
Friday, April 4th
Met Matt at 7 pm, we jogged over to the track to do a 4 mile tempo run. I used to do these in college and remembered not minding them too much. I wanted to cut down the miles and keep it in control because I was still battling a cold. First mile was 5:37 and we cut it down to 5:25 followed by 5:12, at this point I was a bit tired but felt like picking it up. I came through the next half in 2:32 and finished it up in 4:55, so 5:37-5:25-5:12-4:55 = 21:12 for 4. I was pretty happy with that time at altitude, pretty similar to what I did in college I think. We were supposed to race on Saturday but missed the entry deadline, so I'll open up next weekend at CU.

I did 12 x 300 on Friday night with 1 minute rest in 46.7 average (although the average was pulled down by a 42.1 last one). My second track session after doing 20 x 200m in 29.7 with 1 minute rest last week. I think I'd go 64s right now trying to do 9 x 400 off a minute. 61s is impressive. It's tough getting back into track workouts; although I have until late May before I even open. Nice tempo too. Pretty impressive last mile at altitude.
Your number one fan.
