Thursday
I desperately wanted to do a decent workout. I woke up early to beat the heat but quickly found out that my legs were trashed. A 30 minute jog was in the cards this morning, so I listened to my aching body. In the afternoon I travled to my favorite Israeli city, Hafia. The city is built on a small mountain range called the Carmel and has great rolling hillss throughout. Not sure how I motivated myself to get out the door that night but I went for another 30 min run. Started feeling good in the cool night air anddd ran about 6 minute pace through the rolling terrian.
Friday
I lost all motivation again but my cousin informed me there is a marked 3427 meter trail a few km away from the house. The paved loop was marked every 100m and was littered with walkers and night joggers. I was feeling kind of good so I decided to do 2x3427m with a short rest. I went out in 538 and next mile was 514 and i finished in 11:30 took 3 minutes rest and went again, this time in 11:20 with a 71 second last 400m. I did all this in trainers and with my notoriosly bad workouts in trainers and by myself I was more than pleased with the effort.
If anyone is reading (which I highly doubt), I need some motivation to run today with a high of 85.
